The Vision
On August 29, 2004, the Holy Spirit started speaking to me, changing our ministry’s core purpose and shaping our vision. This divine calling is based on Jesus’ words to His followers in Matthew 6:33: “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
The LORD told me to emphasize putting Jesus first by learning His way of life. There’s a special order for how we’re meant to live as Christians. If we don’t make Jesus our top priority, our time here will be wasted.
Before going to Heaven, Jesus gave His disciples their mission. He said, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. So go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to follow all the commands I have given you. And know this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18–20 (New Living Translation)
The heartbeat of The Church Maui is to reach, disciple, and send. It’s our holy duty to share the gospel of Jesus with a new generation of people. We’ve been sent to the hopeless of our islands with a Heavenly hope for a better tomorrow through faith in Jesus. Our mission is to disciple the ones we reach with faith, love, and grace, and to show how Jesus’ healing power can heal people’s spirits, souls, and bodies. Then, commission these disciples of Jesus back home, to their families, and to their workplaces to reach even more with the gospel of God’s unconditional love.
It’s always Jesus first!
